Why equality?

God has made all human beings equal. It is us, human beings, go against the will of God and create inequality. Indian society has been disintegrated into various classes, based on caste, social status, educational status, rulers and ruled and many others. The major blame for this goes to the elders. We, elders, have seen India gaining political freedom but could not convert it to economic and social freedom. The benefits of freedom could not be shared with all Indians. More false barriers of caste have been added to existing for grabbing all benefits for self and ourcaste groups. In short, elders have not been able to create a classless Indian society and in this process have lost the respect of Indian youth.

Indian youth are not ready to waste their time and energy in divisions. They see themselves as an Indian and want to be treated as such. It is a social crime to treat the youth as different people based on their caste, economic status etc. They want to love each other and not hate. Let us not create any more hate between the people. Let us, in our short time before we meet our creator, undo the wrongs we have done to Indian society and its people.

You are right that God has made us all equal. It is we who create inequality between the children of God. It is an ungodly act and we will be punished for it by the God.

Elders should come out and undone their mis-doings, or else they will have to answer to God.

You are right that to unequally treat other human beings is an act against the will of God. Our generation is directly or indirectly responsible for craeting class conflict in Indian society. It is our moral duty to undo all this discrimination.

I appreciate your views. I also have similar views. Let me share my views with you. Equality means all human beings are equal. God has made all human beings equal. Anybody discriminating between people is committing an ungodly act. This discrimination includes all thoughts, words and actions resulting in injustice to anybody. All efforts should be made to remove this injustice.

Indian society, for a long time and still today, and for many reasons, have been discriminating between people. Caste based discrimination is such an example. This discrimination has forced a large section of Indian society to live a life worst than animals. Various people and organizations have raised their voices against it. But the problem is still there. Only its aspect has changed.

One's caste was determined by birth. It was wrong. A section of upper caste was accused for this discrimination. Now inspite of many social reforms and reservation policy the problem still remains. Now it is lower caste people who are saying that caste is determined by birth. It is also wrong. So what Indian society has achieved? Nothing.

The solution to this problem is that there should be no reservation, no quotas based on any criteria. It should be empowerment of all. All necessary resources and exposure should be provided to all. Quantum of such resources and exposure should be determined by their need. The aim should be to create a level playing field for all. Once they reach that level, rest should be left to their individual knowledge, experience and skill.

For me saying 'why equality' is like saying 'why believe in God'. Any discrimination of any kind is a crime against God.
